*CHA BELACAN*

Assalamualaikum and helloooooo to everyone!! (^.^) 

I do this business because i love business and love to make something new.

it also relevant with my  Innovation for Management is the subject that I take this semester.
this subject teach by the great, innovated lecturer and also the great singer, he is Prof. Sr Dato' Dr Kamaruddin Bin Mohd Nor and also known as Pak Din. :))

because of it is related with the Innovation of Management subject, i also selling the hijab for muslimah (shawl,bawal, etc.), 1oo% hand made fabric flower brooch and hair tie, and also the traditional food, belacan.. 

Belacan is very famous at my town and i believe that all of you use belacan to make sambal belacan or etc. sometime i go to Kuala Perlis to see how the process they make a belacan.
even its smell not so good but it so interesting.  i really love sambal belacan. from that i decide to selling a belacan. belacan from Perlih!(*v*)

Ok, let me introduce about belacan. Belacan is from shrimp paste or shrimp sourse.

shrimp paste or shrimp source, is common ingredient used in Southeast Asian and Southern Chinese cuisine. In Malaysia we call it 'belacan' ( also spelled belachan, blachang ), 'terasi' in Indonesian, 'ngapi' in Burmese, 'kapi' in Thai, 'bagoong alamang' in Filipino, 'haam ha/ha jeung' in Cantonese Chinese and 'hom ha/ha ko ni' in Min Nan   Chinese. Different countries it different calling.

belacan, a Malay variety of shrimp paste, is prepared from krill, also known as tiny white shrimp or geragau (Portuguese creole spoken in Malaysia). In Malaysia, normally the krill would be steamed first and after that are mashed into a paste and stored for several months. 

this is shrimp paste or tiny white shrimp..







as we know belacan is used as an ingredient in many dishesA common preparation is kangkong goreng belacan, yummy laksa and sambal belacan(the rigueur as a dip accompanying most Malaysian foods). It has a strong smell but delicious and nutritious eating. There are some people who like a little burn before use as this evokes smell.

sambal belacan is my favourite. So let me show you how to make it..

this recipe was actually taught by my mom.
i do miss her and let's all thank her for teaching me how to make the sambal belacan so that i can share it with you =)

~MAKE A SAMBAL BELACAN~


so let's begin!!

what you need?


1. chilies 
2. cha belacan  (Malaysian shrimp paste)
 3. kalamansi lime (limau kasturi) or squeezed asam jawa
4. salt and
5. sugar (to taste or optional)

what now?

1. Mixing toasted belacan with chilli peppers

2.. Then pound all the ingredients of the sambal belacan too finely

3. Lastly put a little squeezed kalamansi lime or asam jawa


tadaaaaa~~ƪ(˘⌣˘)┐ ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ ┌(˘⌣˘)ʃ

but exactly how good is it? - you ask. 
well.. it's really really good. and how do i know that? 
my housemates said so, my family said so and of course, coz i said so..
ok la tu kan! hehehee!!
